History

Andy Ellinor and John Cooper have been together (in the racing sense) for a number of years now, originally meeting when part of Dan Nicholls infamous team "The Voice Of God".

Prior to this, Andy had been running his own team for a number of years, while John had been involved in both solo and sidecar classes with his son. After one season with "The Voice Of God" (which had now evolved into "The Gay Nazi Dance Band") John and Andy parted company with Dan the Man and set up a new team, "Pace Racing".

Pace Racing had a fairly succesful life, attending all meetings in the time it existed, performing

well throughout. Many riders were used in Pace Racing, but John and Andy were very much the "full-timers" on the team. After three years, for many reasons, the team was reluctantly wound up.

The next team for Andy and John was "The Racing Snakes" a new team made up of a number of Met. Police guys from London/Kent, using the bikes from the old Pace Racing team. Other than meeting Chris, this team was a total waste of time and only lasted two meetings.

The following season, having got bored of running teams, it was a welcome change to be invited on board a new team based in Kent. Enter "Wild Boar Racing". John and Andy spent one season with Wild Boar Racing, mainly acting as mechanics on the team.

At the end of 2006 Andy decided to leave Wild Boar Racing and start a new team in the pit-bike class....... MonsterMotoGP was born! This current team, "MonsterMotoGP", is the culmination of many seasons, many teams, many bikes and many beers! As with most teams, it is never static, always people coming, people going, bikes improving, bikes failing and so on. The 2007 season was a very successful one for MonsterMotoGP, as the whole set up was new (a new rider, new bike, modern 4 stroke (for the first time), and a new track).

The riders were great, and the bike exceeded our expectations by miles. Roll on 2008!!!!!!
